MOVING YOUR ACCOUNTING TO THE CLOUD
Moving from desktop accounting software to an accounting cloud is the best decision you can make for your business. Not only does cloud based accounting give you real time access to your numbers, it also reduces software expenses and saves you time.
Cloud based accounting is often pay as you go, so you don’t need to buy expensive desktop software that you will likely have to upgrade again in a year. Also, many cloud programs are customizable, with constantly updating add-ons that streamline your processes and keep you from getting lost in a labyrinthine excel spreadsheet.
We uses Xero and QuickBooks Online to maximize benefits and efficiency for people with limited time and resources.
Xero has been around for a little over a decade but has been growing fast. Though it is based in New Zealand, it works with small businesses and companies worldwide and gives real time account access via computer, tablet, or mobile.
Xero currently has 1,200+ product updates and 500+ add-ons, so you can customize your interface in a variety of ways to optimize your experience. Access to your accounts is available any time you need it from any device, so you get paid faster as Xero submits your invoices automatically and improves your cash flow.
It will cut your data entry time in half as it automatically downloads and sorts credit card and bank transactions.
If the question is security, Xero’s accounting cloud is as good as a digital bank vault. They’re trusted in 180 countries and last year alone they moved about $1 trillion across their highly secure platform.
Unsurprisingly, Xero’s been ranked in the top 10 for accounting software of 2017 by PC Mag.
Much like Xero, QuickBooks Online provides you with the same convenient, multi-device access. It’s easy to use from a PC or a Mac or your mobile device. As an added bonus, regardless of your business’ location you can grant your accountant remote access to the accounting cloud so they can help you quickly, even if they can’t make it to your office.
It has some interesting and efficient add-ons as well. It comes with a mobile app that can capture receipts and attach them to transactions.
The online version includes almost every service the desktop version does, and additional services that would cost $500+ a year or more with desktop QuickBooks.
We also provide your company with payroll processing services or work with our partnership with ADP to seamlessly download payroll data into your cloud based accounting software.
Particulars aside, most cloud based accounting also comes with a simple and easy to use interface. It won’t be glamorous, but it will be clean, fast, efficient, and most importantly, available where and when you need it.
